What's the connection between "Big Little Lies" and "Basic Instinct"?

It turns out the "couples retreat" featured on a recent episode of the hit HBO series is part of the same property as Sharon Stone's home in the 1992 classic. And now, the entire four-acre cliff-top Carmel property, with unobstructed 180-degree oceanfront views, is about to come to market for a staggering $52.375 million.

Until recently the "Basic Instinct" home was owned by the widow of Steve Fossett, who gained fame for being the first to fly solo around the world in a balloon, and was later lost in a small plane crash in 2007. Fossett's widow passed away in 2017, and the home came to market asking $17 million in early 2018.
